Bio

Dr. Manocha's research interests are broadly in the area of Market Design and Behavioural Economics. Her work primarily focuses on the theoretical understanding of diversity constraints in matching markets and explores the role of procedural bounded rationality in decision-making. This research holds significant implications for addressing various empirical and applied problems, including the design of affirmative action policies in technical college admissions in India and organ exchanges.

She has a publication in the Journal of Mathematical Economics that investigates the welfare consequences of the integration of Shapley Scarf markets. She aims to integrate ideas from Market Design and Behavioural Economics to gain a deeper understanding of how non-standard choice behaviour plays a role in matching markets.

Dr. Manocha obtained her Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi, under the guidance of Prof. Arunava Sen. She holds an MA in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. Prior to her academic pursuits, she served as a Consultant at EXL Analytics.
