At Plaksha University, we believe that talent knows no boundaries. Meet Vijeta Raghuvanshi – a third-year CSAI (Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence) major at Plaksha.
She is a changemaker and an inspiration for many young girls in her village in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Afterall, Vijeta will be the fifth engineering graduate – and only the second woman engineer – from her village. This, in a country that produces lakhs of engineers each year.
Her journey with Plaksha began as a curious learner in class 10 when she participated in the 2-week residential summer program, Young Technology Scholars (YTS). It was here that her passion for engineering was ignited.
“Those 15 days changed everything for me,” said Vijeta. “I worked on a project that involved monitoring the signals of human heart through ECG. That experience of building things stuck with me, and I continued the same project back in my school.”
Inspired by this experience, Vijeta joined Plaksha and has since worked on multiple impactful projects. “The idea of solving real-world problems through tech and contributing to social good is what drives me personally,” she said.
At Plaksha, Vijeta is also championing gender equality in STEM as an active and passionate member of the GWiST (Girls and Women in STEM) club. She participates in campus events, conducts tech workshops designed for high school girls.
Through her story, Vijeta embodies the very spirit of Plaksha – curious, rigorous, enterprising, authentic, thankful and exemplary!
