Plaksha is a partner in a six-institution consortium led by IIT Bombay under the Quantum Materials and Devices vertical of the National Quantum Mission. Soham (ML Engineer) builds the foundational models powering Sarvam's product suite, working on challenges that have no precedent in India, from code mixing to agentic training. Suhani (AI Engineer) developed a document processing solution from scratch. Prajna (Forward Deployed AI Engineer) bridges research and deployment, working directly with enterprises to put live voice agents into the hands of real users and Anshul (AI Engineer) took a government AI project from its earliest experiments to full-scale deployment, delivering a system now used by people across the country.

Plakshans are building a data-driven transit system with Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited and Nagarro, guided by Prof Anupam Sobti. This Innovation Lab and Grand Challenges (ILGC) project maps commuter movement, builds dashboards on demand and route efficiency, and models how travel patterns will shift as new metro lines and residential hubs come up. Second year BTech students Niksh, Yukteshwar, Parthiv and Prajyot are working on this

Third year BTech student Udaiveer Singh is building SPEAR, a model that compresses optical, radar and climate data into a lightweight spectral codebook and holds up even when parts of the satellite record are missing. The paper, co-authored with PhD student Rajiv Ranjan, Prof Shashank Tamaskar and Prof Dharmendra Saraswat of Purdue University, has been accepted at the IEEE/CVF Workshops 2026 in Tucson, Arizona.

Suhani Shrivastava, Nikita Thomas and Malhaar Arora (UG Class of 2025) presented their Innovation Lab and Grand Challenges research with Prof Rucha Joshi and Prof Ankur Nahar at the 11th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence at IIT Delhi. Prof Shashank Tamaskar and Prof Joshi built on it to develop TeachBox, a chatbot offering teaching strategies aligned with the ICAP framework.

Three teams reached the final round of Barclays Hack-o-Hire 2026, which narrowed 3,000 participants to 54 finalists. Second year BTech students competed on financial security, fraud detection and banking operations; one team built an AI system that cuts the creation of Suspicious Activity Reports from hours to minutes, and students from all three teams received internship offers.

Three BTech students competed against 700 teams at CASEQuest 2026, Grant Thornton Bharat's national case competition, on data privacy and security in healthcare. They built Medishield, a security layer protecting patient data from external threats and internal misuse, placing fourth nationally and earning a pre-placement interview.
