Signature Sporting Events

Eklavya: The Inter-University Sports Fest
Eklavya is Plaksha’s student-led inter-university sports festival. It brings athletes from different institutions together for several days of competition, teamwork and campus spirit.
The inaugural edition welcomed 243 athletes from 11 institutions. Participants competed across basketball, badminton, table tennis, football and volleyball over three days. More than a tournament, Eklavya celebrates sportsmanship, resilience and the connections created through sport.

Plakshathon
Plakshathon is a community running event organized by Athleda. Open to students, faculty and staff, it transforms fitness into a shared campus experience.
Plakshathon 2025 brought together 142 runners for 5K and 10K runs. The event reflected the energy, unity and collective spirit of the Plaksha community.

Udaan: Encouraging Women in Sports
Udaan is Athleda’s sports workshop organized exclusively for women at Plaksha. Designed for both beginners and experienced players, the initiative creates an encouraging environment in which women can explore different sports, develop their skills and participate with confidence.
The third edition, Udaan 2026, was held from 14–16 Sep 2026. The three-day workshop invited participants to step onto the field, pick up a racket, try new activities and experience sport in an inclusive and supportive setting.

Inter-House Tournaments
Inter-house competitions introduce students to Plaksha’s sporting culture while encouraging healthy competition and a sense of belonging. During the 2024 undergraduate orientation, students participated in house tournaments featuring football, basketball, badminton, volleyball and Frisbee.
These events allow new students to meet their peers, discover different sports and begin building lasting team connections.

Inter-University Participation
Plaksha teams also represent the university at competitions hosted by other institutions. These experiences allow students to test their skills in new environments, learn from other athletes and carry the Plaksha spirit beyond campus.
Plaksha’s table tennis team, for example, secured second place at Ashoka University’s Agneepath sports festival-an achievement that highlighted the team’s skill, commitment and sportsmanship.
Athleda: Plaksha’s Student Sports Club
Athleda is Plaksha’s student-led sports club and a driving force behind sporting life on campus. The club brings the university community together through tournaments, recreational activities, fitness initiatives and large-scale sporting events.
Working alongside student representatives and the university’s sports team, Athleda creates opportunities for students to compete, lead and contribute. Students can participate as athletes while also gaining experience in event planning, team management, communications and on-ground operations.
