Ankur Nahar earned his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, where he was mentored by Dr. Debasis Das from IIT Jodhpur and Prof. Sajal K. Das from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Ankur's research focuses on advancing intelligent vehicular networks using the latest technologies, such as software-defined networking and edge computing.
His professional experience includes teaching as an Assistant Professor at well-regarded institutions and as a Network Engineer, where he contributed significantly to student development, academic programs and network management. His research achievements are highlighted by numerous publications in top-tier journals and conferences. Ankur's work addresses critical challenges in areas like vehicular ad-hoc networks, vehicular cloud computing, and the application of software defined networking in intelligent transportation systems.
His research has earned recognition and support from prestigious organizations, including the Department of Science & Technology, India, ACM India and many international organizations. One of Ankur’s notable accomplishments is his selection as a BRICS Young Scientist in 2023, where he had the honor of representing the Indian delegation at the 8th BRICS Young Scientist Forum in South Africa.
Ankur has also engaged in international collaborations, with academic visits to esteemed institutions such as the University of Melbourne, Australia, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Uzbekistan, and IIT Kharagpur. In addition to his research, Ankur has taken on leadership roles, including serving as Secretary of the ACM Student Chapter at IIT Jodhpur. He has actively participated in international symposiums, where his work has been presented on global platforms.

Cognitive Radio Based Technology for Smart City Applications (India-Uzbekistan Project)

Description: This collaborative initiative aims to leverage cognitive radio technology to address the dynamic challenges of modern cities in India and Uzbekistan. The project's primary goal is to develop a scalable network architecture with a cognitive management framework to optimize bandwidth allocation and enhance rural connectivity.
Secure Communication and Searching System for Vehicular Cloud Computing (India-Australia Research Project)

Description: This project focuses on creating a robust edge computing framework to ensure secure communication within the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). The initiative aims to provide rapid and secure responses to various infotainment and entertainment services for vehicles.
