About Sanjeev Khosla

Prof Sanjeev Khosla's research focuses on the epigenetic dialogue between species, cells, and molecules. His laboratory has been working on the epigenetic circuitry underlying the regulation of gene expression by environmental cues, both during development and disease to uncover the role of epigenetic mechanisms in the evolution of microbe-host interactions.

Prof Khosla completed his doctoral thesis from the Indian Institute of Science followed by postdoctoral research at the Babraham Institute and the Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Institute in Cambridge, UK. He has served as a Staff Scientist at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics for more than 18 years, and for 6 years as the Director of the Institute of Microbial Technology.
