Jenny Tilsen

Prof Jenny Tilsen is an Assistant Professor at Plaksha University. Her teaching treats science and technology as lived experiences, infrastructures, and practices that shape how we interact with ourselves, each other, and the world. Her courses invite students to connect theory with everyday experience. She teaches Reimagining Tech and Society, Engineering Ethics, and related electives. Before joining Plaksha, she was a postdoctoral ethnographer studying cultural change in an engineering department at Bucknell University. Prof Tilsen studies how science and technology are socially produced within expert and public communities. Her current work examines how communication, infrastructure, values, and ethics shape knowledge-making, and how knowledge cultures and technologies are negotiated across social and environmental contexts.
