Prof Prakarsh Singh currently serves as the Program Chair, Data Science, Economics and Business and as the Chair Professor of Economics at Plaksha University. He was a Science Leader and Senior Economist at Amazon, where his work spanned subscription modelling, global talent management, and streaming businesses to develop strategic insights into competition, pricing, and marketing. He has hands-on experience building models using econometrics, machine learning, and data science.
Prof Singh brings over 12 years of experience in academia and industry and has delivered invited presentations at more than 80 leading global academic and policy institutions. At Amazon, he was a recognised Bar Raiser, leading over 150 technology hiring loops, and led research projects and teams across Prime Science, Global Talent Management, and Prime Video. Prior to Amazon, he was a Professor at Amherst College, Massachusetts, one of the leading liberal arts colleges in the United States, and held visiting positions at Swarthmore College, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Navarra. He earned his PhD, Master of Research, and Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics.
