Prof Kumar investigates cosmological models, especially dark matter, dark energy, cosmic acceleration, and tensions within the standard ΛCDM model. He uses Bayesian analysis of observational data, Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods, CLASS, and MontePython.
Areas of work:
- Dark matter and dark energy
- Cosmic acceleration and cosmological tensions
- Bayesian analysis of cosmological models
- Observational datasets and computational cosmology
