T V Ramanathan

Prof T V Ramanathan is a Professor at Plaksha University in Mohali, Punjab, India. He earned his PhD in Statistics from the University of Pune. His academic journey includes significant roles such as Senior Professor, Head of the Department of Statistics, and Director of the School of Mathematical and Computing Sciences at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Prof Ramanathan has held teaching and research appointments at institutions including Mississippi State University, USA; the University of Waterloo, Canada; KU Leuven, Belgium; the University of Mauritius; and the University of Botswana.

Prof Ramanathan has supervised more than a dozen PhD students and guided numerous students on their MPhil and Master's projects. He has collaborated with researchers worldwide, reflecting his commitment to advancing statistical knowledge and its application across interdisciplinary domains. His dedication to teaching and research reflects his contributions to the academic community and his passion for Statistics and Data Science.

Prof Ramanathan’s research focuses on inference in stochastic processes, financial statistics, and time series analysis. His work addresses complex statistical modelling and inference, with applications in finance and data science.
