  • Plaksha University's journey started in 2015, as a conversation among a few friends about how and why technology education must change. These entrepreneurs, business and tech leaders were seeking to alter the landscape of engineering and technology education in India and the world.

    Consequently, Reimagining Higher Education Foundation was set up in 2017 as a Section 8 not-for-profit company with a mission to nurture the vision of the founding community into a plan. In Feb 2019, the groundbreaking of Plaksha University's campus in Mohali took place with the aim of inaugurating the campus in Aug 2021.

  • The program is open to students from Class 9 -12, across all streams.

  • The YTS+ program offers three tracks. 'Biology Beyond Medicine' focuses on hands-on experiments that explore how biological systems can address problems in healthcare, environment, sanitation, and biotechnology. 'Data Science, Economics and Business' uses numbers to shape choices, integrating data science, AI-ML, and economic and business principles. 'Robotics in Action' focuses on building and testing machines using robotics, electronics, and systems thinking, applied to mobility, automation, agriculture, and sustainability.
