New Delhi, April 28, 2022: A team of Plaksha University students secured second position at Yale Hack 2022, Yale’s annual hackathon, held online from April 8 to 10. More than 200 participants from universities including MIT, Yale and Northeastern took part.
The winning team, Quantum Gurus, comprised Shreevardhan Shah and Saumya Choudhary of Plaksha University and Rohitashwa Parikh of another engineering college. In the Fintech track, the team developed FinSchool, a gamified financial literacy app designed to teach users about managing and creating wealth in accessible language.
FinSchool lets players complete learning modules, answer questions about financial situations, earn virtual money and use it in a stock exchange simulator. The project aimed to make financial tools and knowledge more accessible.
Prof. Rudra Pratap, Founding Vice Chancellor of Plaksha University, congratulated the students, noting that they demonstrated their skills and ability to analyze real-world challenges in an international competition.
