· The Maverick Mindset Fireside Chat
The chat featuring Binny Bansal (Cofounder, Flipkart) and Prashanth Prakash (Co-founder, Accel) was moderated by Aakash Chaudhry (Founder & Trustee, Plaksha). It explored entrepreneurial resilience and how to navigate challenges during uncertain times. It provided unique insights to over 100 attendees, inspiring them to think innovatively. Following the session, Plakshans interacted with the speakers, gaining inspiration and insights from their journeys.
· Design Your Life Workshop
Avnie Garg (Founder, Elucidation Today and Visiting Faculty of Design Thinking) conducted a design thinking workshop inspired by the Design Your Life course at Stanford University for 30 participants at Plaksha University. The session used design thinking to help students map personal and professional goals, improve time management, and focus on holistic growth. The interactive exercises left attendees with greater clarity and motivation to build meaningful futures beyond academics.
· Innovator’s Edge Pitch Series
In October 24, The InfoEdge Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the Innovators’ Edge: Pitch Event, bringing together startups, industry leaders, and investors for an enriching exchange of ideas. The event featured 8 startup pitches and fireside chats with esteemed leaders, offering valuable insights into building and scaling ventures. Speakers included Sanjeev Bikhchandani (Founder, InfoEdge), Rajesh Magow (Co-Founder & Group CEO, MakeMyTrip), Ritesh Malik (Founder, Innov8), Kanika Tekriwal (Founder, JetSetGo) and Archana Jahagirdar (Managing Partner, Rukum Capital). The event fostered meaningful connections and highlighted actionable strategies for entrepreneurs. Participants left inspired, with deeper insights and expanded networks, reinforcing Plaksha’s role as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
· Celebrating Creativity through Dhandha Paani
Held during Plaksha’s inaugural Fitoor x Prayas student festival, Dhandha Paani challenged participants to develop quirky branding campaigns for unusual product pairings, such as Pampers marketing prosthetic limbs. This event highlighted the importance of creativity and humour in strategic thinking. Over 35students were selected for the final pitches, with significant positive feedback from judges and attendees.
· Startup Sprint 2024
This 24-hour intensive pitching competition involved challenged 12 teams to develop innovative business ideas in 24 hours. Participants were mentored by industry leaders and judged by experts like Saurabh Arora (IIT AWaDH Ropar) and Sohail Gupta (Y Combinator). The event culminated in three top teams receiving awards for innovation and scalability. This high-energy competition fostered creativity and strengthened entrepreneurial spirit among participants.
· The Entrepreneur’s Playbook
Brahm Alreja (Founder – Director, Innovative Incentives & Rewards Pvt Ltd) shared valuable insights on entrepreneurial resilience and adaptability during a workshop attended by 30 students. The session explored key pillars of an entrepreneurial mindset, including innovation, calculated risk-taking, and responsibility. Participants left inspired and equipped with actionable strategies to navigate challenges and demystify entrepreneurial misconceptions.
· The Pitching Room
Tech Entrepreneurial Challenge Lab: On 15th February, 2025 students presented their well-developed startup ideas as part of a 4-credit course under Minor in Entrepreneurship. The course was aimed at developing business acumen among students and promoting technology-driven solutions.
· TiEcon Chandigarh
On March 6 - 7, 2025, Plaksha University actively participated in TiEcon Chandigarh 2025 to position Plaksha University as a frontrunner in Artificial Intelligence, showcase student innovations, and build and nurture industry connections. Plaksha sponsored Masterclass in Generative AI by Ajay Arora (Senior Solution Specialist, Global Black Belt and Area Lead, Microsoft AI). A startup by Plaksha students – Thinklude – secured a big win by securing â‚ą5 lakh in funding at Saksham. Additionally, Thinklude powered screens were placed for speech translation to sign language during the AI Masterclass, among other events at TiEcon.
