Generous and liberal financial aid between 25-100% is available for deserving students.

Our Philosophy

At Plaksha, it is our endeavor to find the brightest students from across the country; students who will be the tech leaders of tomorrow. We are committed to ensure that no deserving student is denied access to education at Plaksha because of financial constraints. To this end, we have disbursed INR 11+ crore financial aid so far, with 70% of our students are on scholarship.

Thanks to the benevolence of our donors a large number of scholarships are available for students. Scholarships at Plaksha comprise:

Merit Scholarship – Students who exhibit exceptional achievements in academics, extra curriculars and cocurricular activities.

Financial Aid – This option is available to all students. Our financial aid process is need based and has no bearing on the selection process.

Eligibility

Merit scholarships are awarded on the basis of the applicant's academic applicant's academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular achievements, as well as on their performance in the admissions process. The scholarship amount varies from 25% to 100% on tuition fees. 


Process

All applicants who appear for the admissions interview are considered for a merit scholarship by default. There is no separate application for the same. The scholarship will apply to the full period of enrolment and will be contingent on the continuous fulfilment of a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average), which will be specified at the beginning of the year, and maintaining good conduct at the program. 


Eligibility

The need-based financial aid given by Plaksha University is assessed solely on the basis of the applicant's family’s financial standing. It is not based on scholastic merit, sports qualifications or any non-financial factors.


Process

The financial aid awarded by the university will bridge the gap between the parents’/students affordability and the cost of education at Plaksha. Only applicants shortlisted for the admissions interview can apply for need based scholarships using a separate application form. 


  • Award and continuation of all scholarships are governed by Plaksha’s Scholarship Guidelines, which are released at the beginning of each academic year by the Scholarship Committee.

 

  • In order to continue receiving a need-based scholarship, the recipient must:
    • Be in good academic standing.
    • Maintain a minimum CGPA specified in the Scholarship Guidelines. For the year 2023-24, this was set at 6.0 (on a 10-point scale).
    • Submit all financial information annually to make a case for continuing the scholarship.

 

  • In order to continue receiving a merit-based scholarship, the recipient must:
    • Be in good academic standing.
    • Maintain a minimum CGPA specified in the Scholarship Guidelines. For the year 2023-24, this was set at 8.0 (on a 10-point scale).
    • Fulfil additional criteria as specified in the guidelines, such as participating in extracurricular and cocurricular activities.

 

  • The Scholarship Committee has the right to revoke the offered scholarship at any point in time, if the student acts in violation of the University's Code of Conduct in terms of discipline, behaviour and academic integrity.
FAQ section

We expect that the parents/guardians will take the primary responsibility of funding their childs' education by considering various financial resources available to them. The Financial assistance is awarded by the university to bridge the gap between the parents’/students' affordability and the cost of education at Plaksha. Only those applicants who have been shortlisted for the interview are eligible to apply for financial aid.


Financial aid may vary from 25% to 100% on Tuition and residence costs. The financial aid that is granted at the beginning of the program will be applicable for the entire duration of the program (4 years).


The financial aid given by Plaksha University is assessed solely on the basis of your family’s financial standing. It is not based on scholastic merit, sports qualifications or any non-financial factors. 


If you are applying for financial aid at Plaksha, you will be required, but not limited, to submit the following documents  

 

  • Income tax returns of all earning members of the family 
  • Bank account statement of all members of the family 
  • School fee receipt(s) of applicant for grade XII 
  • School fee receipt(s) for the applicant’s sibling 
  • Details of financial asset(s) owned by the family 
  • Company’s income tax returns and bank statements (in case any earning member of the family owns a Business) 

You are only exempted from filing an ITR if your total income is below INR 2,50,000. If you fall in this category, you will be required to provide:

  • an affidavit on a stamp paper, stating the gross annual income and the source(s) of income (if the earning member is self-employed); and
  • salary slips for the last six months/salary certificate from the employer (if the earning member is salaried)

Financial Aid is available to both international and Indian students. The University will provide need based aid, for which students will have to submit their details in the financial aid form. The Financial Aid form will open up only if you are shortlisted for the interview round.


No, the fee structure remains the same for all students.
