Financial Aid

Merit scholarship and liberal financial aid between 25%-100% is available for deserving students.

Our Philosophy

At Plaksha, we search for the brightest minds from across the country - students who can shape the future of technology and society. We believe that access to education should never be determined by financial background.

Over the years, more than INR 40 crore has been extended in support, with nearly three out of four students receiving assistance. This commitment reflects our intent to open doors of opportunity as widely as possible.

Financial aid approach

Financial aid at Plaksha is need-based and open to all admitted students. Our aim is to support every deserving student who requires assistance. However, since the financial aid corpus is finite, there are times when the demand exceeds available resources.

In such situations, we take a holistic view while making decisions. Along with demonstrated financial need, we may also consider factors such as academic performance, extra-curricular achievements, and co-curricular contributions.

We hope to make Plaksha education accessible to as many deserving students as possible, while ensuring fairness and transparency in the process.

Merit scholarship approach

Merit scholarships are awarded sparingly and recognize students who stand out for exceptional accomplishments—whether in academics, extra-curricular pursuits, or co-curricular contributions.

These awards celebrate talent and leadership and are intended for candidates who demonstrate the highest levels of excellence and distinction.

Overview

Plaksha’s need-based financial aid is designed to support students who require assistance to meet the cost of education. The assessment begins with the applicant’s family financial profile and focuses on bridging the gap between what a family can afford and the actual cost of studying at Plaksha.

While the process is primarily need-driven, in cases where requests are higher than the available fund, additional aspects such as academic performance, extra-curricular involvement, and co-curricular contributions may also be reviewed.

Only applicants with an offer of admission will be invited to submit a separate financial aid application.

Financial aid slabs

Financial aid varies from 25% to 100% of tuition and living expenses, depending on demonstrated need and the holistic review process. Along with income, factors such as family savings, assets, and essential (non-discretionary) expenses are considered to ensure a fair and balanced decision.

Financial aid for salaried families is considered if the household’s gross annual income (including salary and income from other sources) is below INR 50 lacs.

Tuition waiver  Annual gross income (INR)*
Upto 100%  0 -12 lakh
Between 25%-75%  12 lakh - 50 lakh

*Conditions apply. Decisions of the scholarship committee are final.

An option of an Interest free loan on 25% tuition fee can be availed from Plaksha approved loan providers.
