 This course helps students harness emerging technologies to drive business innovation across products and services, processes, and business models. Whether launching a startup or optimizing corporate strategy, students will explore how cutting-edge technologies fuel both sustaining and disruptive innovation, because not all change is revolutionary, but all progress matters. Through hands-on projects, case studies, and spirited discussions, students will learn frameworks to build systems for innovation, measure impact, and create scalable, market-ready solutions.

Course Overview

This course introduces practical, industry-tested approaches to business innovation by combining strategic thinking with hands-on frameworks. Students learn how organisations identify innovation opportunities, evaluate ideas, design solutions, run pilots, and build resilient innovation systems. Through case studies, structured decision-making frameworks, and collaborative projects, the course equips students to translate innovative ideas into practical business strategies.

  • Develop structured PRFAQs to articulate innovation concepts.
  • Design a Minimum Lovable Pilot with hypotheses, assumptions, and success metrics.
  • Analyse innovation systems using people, process, and metric frameworks.
  • Distinguish between sustaining and disruptive innovation.
  • Assess organisational resilience and derive lessons from business case studies.
  • Present innovation recommendations using structured narratives and data.
