This course provides a rigorous introduction to the principles of corporate finance. It focuses on the fundamental tools and analytical frameworks used to make financial decisions within firms. Students will learn how to value financial assets, evaluate investment projects, understand the relationship between risk and return, and analyze financing and payout policies. The course emphasizes the core building blocks of modern finance, including time value of money, discounted cash flow valuation, portfolio theory, the capital asset pricing model (CAPM), cost of capital, capital structure theory, and payout policy.
