Professor Dwight Jaggard is a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) and also serves as a Visiting Faculty at Plaksha University's Tech Leader's Fellowship. He holds a PhD from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and completed his master's degree in applied positive psychology from Penn in 2017. Previously, Prof Dwight served as the Chair of the Penn Faculty Senate, where he played a crucial role in enhancing self-governance for the university's 4500 faculty members.
Prof Dwight's contribution to research has earned him prestigious recognition, including being named a Fellow of the IEEE (Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers) and a Fellow of the OSA (Optical Society of America). He has also received numerous teaching awards, including the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching, which is Penn's highest teaching honor. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as the founding director of Penn's Executive Master's of Technology Management Program (EMTM) and served as a Professeur Invité at INP-ENSEEIHT in Toulouse, France for several summers.
Currently, Professor Jaggard is actively involved in consulting, coaching, teaching, and delivering lectures on leadership, decision-making, influence, persuasion, power, clear communications, and team dynamics. His expertise has taken him to various locations across four continents, where he has worked with thousands of high-potential individuals, emerging leaders, students, and professionals seeking to enhance their performance and effectiveness.
Furthermore, Prof Dwight co-founded a high-technology business and has made significant contributions to the field through his extensive scientific presentations and publications. He has authored or edited approximately 17 books and book chapters and holds patents for several inventions.
