Important dates

Eligibility criteria

  • A valid bachelors degree from a recognized university in one of the following:  
    • Engineering: Four-year BTech/BE with a foundation in maths, statistics, and programming.
    • Sciences/Economics: Four-year bachelors, or three-year bachelors with PG diploma (40 credits)/masters, with a foundation in math, statistics, and programming.
    • Final year students completing their undergraduate degree by summer 2026.
  • Applicants with professional experience in technology-related roles are welcome to apply.
  • Standardized test score (CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE): For the 2025–26 admissions cycle, applicants may apply without a standardized test score. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a technical interview. Applicants who demonstrate academic readiness for the program through their academic record and interview performance will receive a waiver of the test score requirement. Candidates who already possess a valid CAT, GMAT, GRE, or GATE score are encouraged to submit it, as it will be considered positively during the admissions evaluation process.

Application requirements

Below is a consolidated list of requirements for candidates aspiring to apply to the MS in AI program:

  • Online application form: Complete the online application form available on our website. (There is no fee for applying.)
  • Academic transcripts: Upload all transcripts and degree/diploma certificates in digital format. Final-year students may submit provisional transcripts but must provide the final copy within the first month of the program if admitted.
  • Test scores*: Submit valid scores from CAT, GATE, GRE, or GMAT (taken up to May 2026).

  • Statement of Purpose: Write a personal Statement of Purpose (maximum 2 pages or 50 lines) describing your journey, goals, and suitability for the program. This must be authentic and personally written, not AI-generated. In addition, you are required to respond to a video prompt on a topic related to the field of AI.

  • References: Share the details of up to three individuals who can speak to your academic, professional, or personal achievements. Letters of recommendation are not required. The admissions team may contact them if needed.
  • Resume: Upload your resume (single page) highlighting your academic and professional background, and achievements starting from undergraduate studies.

Course fees and scholarships

The program fee includes tuition and on-campus housing for a well-rounded student experience. Plaksha offers selective scholarships to recognize and support exceptional candidates who demonstrate academic excellence, professional achievements, and leadership potential.

Refund Policy

If a student withdraws their admission after accepting the offer, the refund will be processed in accordance with the latest UGC guidelines.

Scholarships
 

Plaksha awards merit-cum-means scholarships to outstanding candidates admitted to the MS in AI program. Scholarship typically range from 25% to 100% of tuition fees based on a comprehensive evaluation of academic excellence, professional achievements, leadership potential and demonstrated financial need.

Applicants seeking consideration under the merit-cum-means category are required to submit supporting documentation to substantiate their financial need. Such documentation may include income certificates, tax returns, or other relevant records, as determined by the Admissions and Financial Aid Committee.

The Dean’s Masters Scholarship is a distinguished award conferred upon a limited number of candidates who demonstrate exceptional academic merit, leadership potential, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact through innovation and leadership.
