Carl Georg Duerschmidt, who spreads his time between Germany and South Africa, is a long-time investor and recent farmer. He is the Chair of the Supervisory Board of Nagarro and, separately, of Allgeier, and is effectively the largest shareholder in both companies. After studying business economics, Carl first worked for the family business. In 1986, he joined an international business consultancy, where he was in charge of the strategic advisory of small and medium sized enterprises. From 1989, he worked for an investment company which mainly developed participations in German SMEs. After an IPO of one of these companies, he joined the Executive Board in 1992. Then, after founding a private investment company together with partners, he was responsible for the development and management of a portfolio of SMEs. He took an equity participation in Allgeier over 15 years ago and ran the company as CEO till 2021.
