Yes, the Minor in Tech Entrepreneurship is open to all majors: Computer Science and AI, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Data Science, Economics and Business, and Biological Systems Engineering. It welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration that mirrors real-world startup ecosystems.
It includes ten courses: Design Thinking for Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurial Finance, Business Innovation, Entrepreneurial Innovation and Leadership Lab, Product Market Fit, Entrepreneurial Leadership Seminar (focused on AI reshaping work), Entrepreneurial Challenge Lab, Corporate and Business Strategy, Startup Market Lab, and Advanced Entrepreneurial Finance.
Plaksha’s Minor in Tech Entrepreneurship is anchored by the flagship Entrepreneurial Challenge Lab, where students work in teams on customer discovery, prototype testing, market validation and business model development. They start with an idea or opportunity and spend the semester refining it through mentorship, feedback, and real-world engagement, leaving with both a venture concept and practical tools to turn problems into scalable solutions.
Students in the Minor in Tech Entrepreneurship have launched ventures across several sectors. Cyber Unbound, an AI-powered cybersecurity talent-acquisition platform founded by Shikhar Beriwal and Krishnav Mahansaria from the BTech Class of 2026 has been recognized as Student Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 by Entrepreneur India. Purifico, founded by Agaaz Singhal, Class of 2026, has filed a patent with the Indian Patent Office for the world's first clean hand-drying technology. Dope Lifestyle, founded by Devansh Upadhyaya, Class of 2026, builds guilt-free snacking products across D2C and B2B sales channels.
