At Plaksha, we believe that learning should be flexible, interdisciplinary, and future-focused. Students who began their undergraduation at another recognized institution can join Plaksha without restarting their degree.
The credits earned in the other institution or degree are recognized. Transfer students can seek admissions in the majors given below only:
- BTech in Biological Systems Engineering (BSE)
- BTech in Data Science, Economics and Business (DSEB)
- BTech in Robotics & Autonomous Systems (RAS)

Eligibility
- Students who have successfully completed minimum 35 credits of study in a regular degree program from a UGC recognized university or an equivalent foreign university or a recognized institution.
- A solid academic background in core subjects (e.g., Math, Physics, Programming, Life Sciences, or Engineering Fundamentals) relevant to the chosen major.
Other requirements
- The first three semesters at Plaksha equip all students with foundational knowledge across disciplines. Transfer students undergo a structured transition (through bridging modules, if needed) into the chosen major. Students must fulfill the following requirements to graduate with a BTech in BSE, DSEB or RAS :
- Complete all freshmore, program core (courses and credits) and program elective (credits) prescribed for the major.
- Maintain academic standards as per university policy.
- Have earned minimum of 160 credits of which at least 80 credits would have to be completed at Plaksha University
Application process
Step 1: Application
Fill an online application form, submit along with the following documents:
- Identity documents:
- Passport size photograph
- Valid photo identity card – Passport/ Aadhar card/ Voter ID card/ Driving License; ABC or APAAR ID
- Address proof:
- Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID card
- Educational documents:
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 Marksheet
- Undergraduate marksheets showing minimum of 35 credits complete before program start date
- Detailed syllabus of completed credits for equivalence mapping
- Extra-curricular and Co-curricular activities:
- Academic resume and supporting documents for the listed activities
Step 2: Application Screening
- Each application is reviewed by an evaluator based on the applicant’s academic records including Grades 10 and 12, undergraduate scores and documented achievements in Extra‑Curricular (ECA) and Co‑Curricular (CCA) activities.
Step 3: Technical interview
- Shortlisted applicants will appear for a technical interview to evaluate domain understanding, problem - solving approach and foundational knowledge.
Step 4: Credit Equivalence Mapping
- The academic credits earned at previous institution/ university will be reviewed by Credit Equivalence Committee for course mapping.
Step 5: Admission decision
- Selected applicants will receive admission decisions along with details of credit recognition, bridging requirements (if any), and onboarding process.
Step 6: Transition
- At onboarding, the Program Chair will assign an academic advisor to each enrolled student for seamless academic and social integration at Plaksha University.

Credit transfer is evaluated on a case-to-case basis. The Credit Equivalence Committee (CEC) evaluates credit equivalency between the applicant’s completed coursework and the prescribed curriculum at Plaksha. The academic credits that can be transferred and the expected period of completion of the program will be communicated to the students, who can then make an informed decision on whether they wish to transfer to Plaksha University.
