About Amith Shastri

Dr Amith Shastri is a mathematician specializing in Algebraic Geometry and Algebraic Groups. Prior to joining Plaksha, he was an Assistant Professor in Sai University. He completed his PhD at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, where he worked on homogeneous spaces and anti-affine groups. He then spent two years at the Chennai Mathematical Institute as a Post-doctoral Fellow.

In addition to his academic interests, Dr Shastri enjoys spending time in nature and is an avid wildlife photographer.
