About Somveer Anand

Prof Somveer Anand serves as CEO and Managing Director of The Innovation Mission Punjab, a Punjab government-supported startup accelerator and pollinator aimed at rejuvenating the state's entrepreneurial spirit and helping scale companies building in Punjab.

From 2016 to 2020, Prof Anand spent four years building Pindfresh, an agri-tech company. His work experience includes stints at Citibank and Maruti Udyog. Prior to returning to India, Prof Anand's last engagement was with Avendus Capital in the United States. He has been based in New York, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi before moving to Chandigarh.

Prof Anand holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
